Diagnosing ADHD in Adults
ADHD does not just impact kids! There are many adults who struggle with the impact ADHD has on their personal and professional lives. Some adults who have ADHD received a diagnosis as a child. These people may or may not have been provided with extra support while growing up. Some may have tried medication, some may still take medication, others have never had medication.
There are other adults with ADHD who never received a diagnosis as a child. These people pursued a diagnosis as an adult. Still others are professionally undiagnosed, but they are pretty sure they have ADHD. Regardless of the path to diagnosis, those with ADHD are often confused and maybe even embarrassed that they have these struggles as an adult. Adults with ADHD:

• May have difficulty getting started on tasks they want and/or need to complete
• Often have difficult finishing what they start
• May makes impulsive decisions
• Struggle with memory
