What are the goals of counseling?
The goals of counseling and individual and depend on what you need to accomplish.
Developing your counseling goals is a collaborative process between you and your
counselor. Once the goals are developed you will work with your counselor to meet
your goals. Although goals are individual to you, these are the five most commonly
named goals of counseling:
-Facilitating behavior change.
-Improving your ability to establish and maintain relationships.
-Enhancing your effectiveness and ability to cope.
-Promoting the decision-making process and facilitating your potential.
-Development.
